A fantastic opportunity has become available for a highly skilled and talented Chef to join our innovative kitchen team. In your role you will directly report to the Sous Chef & Executive Chef and you will be responsible for the efficient and affective operations of the kitchen department.

You'll work closely with our team to:
* Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard
* Work across all sections of the kitchen, including grill, pans, prep, and functions
* Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
* Assist in menu execution and contribute to daily specials
* Manage your section efficiently during service and ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Assist with ordering of necessary food items according to business needs and demands.
* Prepare mis-en place as required
* Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel
* Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, whereby you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining stock control procedures
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy & ensuring all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned to WH&S standards
You'll bring:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification
* Excellent technical knowledge
* Genuine passion for Food
* *Customer service driven
* *Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
* *Excellent organisational skills and grooming standards
* *Understanding of and the ability to maintain food safety standards
* *Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varying shifts as require
