POSITION SUMMARY
SCOPE OF POSITON
To ensure guest satisfaction by delivering product quality and consistency and executing excellence through the entire guest experience. Give personalized guest service and connect emotionally to guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* · Respond to guest's requests in a timely manner.
* · Follow direction of your manager.
* · Be familiar with all equipment used within the laundry and Valet cleaning sections, including safety and cleanliness aspects.
* · Ensure that cleaning fluids and chemicals are correctly used and stored.
* · Understand operations in all areas of laundry, be able to work in all areas of laundry and Valet to assist and direct team members.
* · Be able to identify different types of fabrics and their laundering requirements.
* · Organize movement of dirty and clean laundry and of guest valet service.
* · Affectively roster for all areas of the laundry.
* · Conduct weekly toolbox meeting.
* · Conduct daily team meetings.
* Maintain effective wage cost control.
* · Maintain stock for laundry chemicals and Linen/toweling levels and report to Manager.
* · Be able to control and class items according to fabric and color.
* · Launder items according to established formulas and procedures.
* · Ensure that productivity is ongoing and prioritize the laundry attendants work allocation as required.
* · Ensure the safe operation of laundry and valet at all times.
* · Understand and maintain all laundry KPI's.
* · Keep daily productivity logbooks updated.
* · Ensure that damaged linen or uniforms are sent to the Uniform Room for repairs or recycling.
* · Refer counselling, disciplinary action, re-training needs and commendations to a Manager/HR Manager.
* · Show due care of all equipment, report maintenance issues to Manager and escalate to Maintenance Department.
* · Report Equipment breakdown or safety issues in your work to Manager or escalate to Maintenance Department to address depending on severity.
* · To attend work on time, ensuring that you are at your workstation in line with your rostered shift requirement.
Service:
* · Provide services and attend requests for other departments.
* · Actively solicit guest feed back in order to seek continual improvement in service and to ensure guest satisfaction.
* · Use guest name.
* · Attend daily briefings.
* · To apply a courteous and professional approach toward guests and fellow associates at all times, in line with the Marriott Customer Service Standards.
