Role Summary

Reddam House Sydney is a leading co‐educational, non‐denominational school in New South Wales and a Top 5 School in the state for HSC results in 2022 & 2023. We provide a dynamic and inclusive environment that nurtures the unique talents and passions of every student. Based at our Senior School Campus in Bondi, you will be an exceptional History/Geography and Commerce Secondary Teacher with a passion for education, dedication, creativity, and outstanding experience. This is a permanent position commencing at the start of term 3 – 20 July 2026.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students, aligning with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements, while individualising and differentiating learning.
* Regularly assess students' in‐class and at‐home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported in reaching their potential.
* Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued and supported, and are ready to take risks in their learning.
* Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices, collaborating with colleagues, and dedicating yourself to your own professional development to maintain the highest standard of education.
* Play an active role in the school's co‐curricular programme, helping to create a well‐rounded, enriching educational experience, from leading clubs to contributing to whole‐school initiatives.
* Maintain open and constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships that support students' progress so that each child feels respected and known as an individual.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A teaching degree with a minimum of three years of post‐qualification experience, specialising in Commerce/History/Geography or a closely related subject.
* A genuine passion for education, with the ability to engage, motivate, and positively impact young people.
* A proven track record of excellence in personal, academic, and professional achievements.
* In‐depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
* Expertise in assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and enhancing student performance, including in external assessments.
* Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing, with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently and a track record of establishing positive relationships with families.
* A commitment to their own continuous professional development.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
* Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, flexible, and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
