As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and proactive Senior IT Support professional to join our team onsite at our Maryborough, Victoria facility and help drive technical excellence across the business.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, multi-faceted IT support role where you'll be the go-to person for resolving technical issues, supporting infrastructure, and contributing to strategic IT projects. You'll work across hardware, software, networking, cloud platforms and enterprise systems, ensuring smooth operations and a secure digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, servers, NAS, and peripherals.
Support Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise apps (e.g., Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Administer Windows Servers **********), Dell Servers, RAID and basic MS SQL.
Support virtualisation (Hyper-V), remote tools (Screenconnect, N-Able RMM) and cloud platforms.
Automate tasks using PowerShell and basic scripting (desirable).
Problem Solving & Innovation:
Prioritise and resolve tickets efficiently, identifying root causes and patterns.
Conduct root cause analysis and suggest improvements.
Stay current with emerging technologies and AI-driven support tools.
Explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users with empathy and patience.
Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate across departments.
Onboard new users and deliver IT training sessions.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Security & Compliance:
Promote and enforce security protocols and data protection practices.
Respond to threats and ensure secure configurations and backups.
Professionalism & Reliability:
Take ownership of tasks and follow through to completion.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accountability.
Manage time effectively and contribute to IT strategy and audits.
Support AI-based tools and automation for diagnostics and ticket routing.
Analyse support trends using AI and assist in building basic AI agents (desirable).
Additional Duties:
Support IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.
Assist with asset management, procurement, and documentation.
Contribute to workplace safety and compliance with True Foods standards.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
5+ years in IT support roles with strong troubleshooting and project support.
Proficiency in Windows OS, networking, cloud platforms and enterprise apps.
Experience with ticketing systems, remote support and IT asset management.
Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support users.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of collaboration and patience with others.
Preferred
Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments.
Skills in automation, scripting and AI-based support tools.
Project and vendor management experience.
Change management and continuous improvement mindset.
