About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
End User Compute (EUC) Engineer
to join a federal department multidisciplinary ICT team. The role focuses on delivering, maintaining, and enhancing
end user enabling technologies
to support a large and complex enterprise environment. This includes
Microsoft Windows SOE, device management (desktop and mobile), enterprise collaboration tools, and secure remote access solutions.
As an EUC Engineer, you will contribute to the stability, performance, and security of end user systems, provide
Level 3 support
for escalated incidents, and play a key role in governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Manage and enhance the Standard Operating Environment (SOE), including desktop productivity software, security configurations, and corporate device builds (Windows desktops, iOS mobile).
* Administer and support the enterprise messaging and collaboration environment (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange).
* Support and maintain enterprise remote access solutions (e.g., virtual desktop infrastructure, VPN).
* Package, test, and deploy enterprise applications.
* Manage and optimise automated patching processes across the EUC environment.
* Provide expert technical advice across supported platforms, representing the team in ICT governance forums (architecture, ITSM).
* Deliver Level 3 support for complex technical issues escalated from Service Desk and Level 2 teams.
* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless system integration, compliance, and policy enforcement.
Essential Skills And Experience
* Strong experience with Windows desktop and mobile device management (Intune, MECM/SCCM, Group Policy, SOE development).
* Proven expertise in application packaging and deployment in enterprise environments.
* Hands-on experience with remote access solutions (VDI, VPN).
* Knowledge of enterprise collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Teams, Exchange Online).
* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to provide Level 3 support for complex EUC issues.
* Experience in patch management, endpoint security, and compliance.
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate across ICT teams and contribute to governance/architecture discussions.
Desirable
* Exposure to federal government ICT environments and security requirements.
* Familiarity with cyber security controls, ITIL processes, and ICT governance frameworks.
* Experience working with mobile device management (MDM) and enterprise security tools.
