Job Description
This is a permanent position within the Strategic Infrastructure and Sustainability team. The role involves managing the development, maintenance, and operation of asset management software systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, developing quality assurance processes, and providing technical support to internal users.
They will also represent the Directorate in meetings with stakeholders, develop policies and procedures, and manage the engagement of consultants and contractors.
The Assistant Director, Asset Management Systems will work flexibly from various locations, including the Hedley Beare Centre for Teaching and Learning, Stirling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the EDU asset management software system (AMSS).
* Develop and manage quality assurance processes and activities.
* Provide technical support/user training or guidance to internal AMSS users.
* Represent the Directorate in meetings, negotiations, and discussions with stakeholders.
* Be responsible for the development and management of policies, procedures, guidelines, and user awareness material related to the EDU AMSS.
* Manage and coordinate the engagement of consultants and contractors to undertake work to develop and maintain the EDU AMSS and associated policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management, or accreditation with a professional body recognized within Australia.
They must also have significant building and/or infrastructure management knowledge and/or operational strategic asset management experience.
Asbestos awareness card or willingness to obtain - Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement.
