Poolshop.com.au is looking for a reliable, motivated, and customer-focused Retail & Ecommerce Assistant / Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Unanderra store.
This is a fast-paced and varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and has a strong background in retail and customer service. Minimum 6-12 months of retail experience is required for this position. Pool industry experience is preferred.
As one of the first points of contact for our business, you'll be the face and voice of Poolshop.com.au — assisting customers in-store, over the phone, via email, and through our online marketplaces.
Key Responsibilities
On any given day, you may be:
* Managing a high volume of customer enquiries across phone, email, live chat, and online store
* Assisting walk-in customers in our Unanderra store
* Processing and packing online orders from the online store
* Processing quotes, returns, and customer requests accurately and efficiently
* Providing technical product information and tailored recommendations across pool and spa equipment
* Conducting pool water testing and providing treatment recommendations
* Delivering exceptional customer service that builds long-term customer relationships
* Assisting with after-sales support and troubleshooting
* Completing administration tasks including quoting, invoicing, booking jobs, data entry, and order management to support daily operations
* Promoting our products and services to both new and existing customers
* Maintaining store presentation, merchandising standards, and supporting stock control
* Supporting the overall day-to-day operations of the store and online business
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous retail and customer service experience
* Have pool industry knowledge and experience
* Be confident communicating with customers across multiple channels
* Be reliable, organised, and able to multitask in a busy environment
* Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Be willing to learn and take initiative
* Work well independently and as part of a team
Seasonal Requirements
The pool industry is seasonal, with our busiest period running from September through February. During this time, candidates must be available to work extended hours and weekend shifts to support both our retail showroom and online operations.
