The Role
* Live and work in a remote community, building strong relationships with residents and local leaders.
* Partner with the council to design and deliver programs in areas such as youth development, employment, and cultural preservation.
* Facilitate consultations, meetings, and workshops to ensure initiatives meet community needs.
* Provide training and mentoring to build local capacity in governance, financial management, and project planning.
* Support communities in managing resources effectively and meeting governance and compliance requirements.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Social Work, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in remote or Indigenous communities, with strong cultural awareness and communication skills.
* Skilled in community‑led program design, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Passion for capacity building, mentoring, and empowering local leadership.
* Adaptable, proactive, and committed to living and working in a remote community.
