We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Yugumbir Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). This is a permanent, part-time position.
Your working hours will be 34.5 hours per week during school term and up to 38 hours during vacation care periods.
About the role
In this role, you will assist the Service Coordinator with daily operations and team management. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, including the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and OSHC Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing quality programs
* Managing daily program operations
* Supporting staff management
* Ensuring policy compliance
* Handling administrative tasks
* Collaborating with families and the school community
Qualifications and experience required:
* Relevant childcare or teaching qualification (minimum Diploma in Children's Services), either completed or actively studying
* Experience in programming and a passion for quality childcare
* Experience in administration and documentation in an OSHC setting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
* Blue Card (Suitability to Work with Children and Young People) or willingness to obtain
* Knowledge of NQF is advantageous

Your workspace at the Y
YMCA Yugumbir OSHC is located at Yugumbir State School in Regents Park. The service is licensed for 150 children daily, operating from 6am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm during school terms, and from 6am to 6pm during school holidays.
