Early Childhood Coordinator Job Description
The role of Early Childhood Coordinator is crucial in providing high-quality care and support to children with disabilities or developmental delays, as well as their families.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assess children aged 0-9 years through informal and formal evaluations;
2. Conduct individual and group sessions with participants as needed;
3. Provide short-term intervention using evidence-based models and consulting with Allied Health Professionals when necessary;
4. Assist individuals or nominated contacts in developing, implementing, reviewing, and monitoring NDIS plans when a funded plan is appropriate;
5. Establish and maintain strong networks with community groups, organizations, government services, and service providers, and connect people with these resources as needed;
6. Work alongside individuals and families to build capacity and confidence by setting goals, exercising choice and control over funded services, seeking out, and engaging in mainstream and universal supports;
7. Support families in implementing plans and tracking their progress;
8. Operate within Baptcare policies and procedures and quality framework;
9. Make an active commitment to team development and maintenance within Baptcare and the NDIA;
10. Participate in meetings, supervision, and staff development;
11. Complete required training through the NDIA LEAP and Baptcare Learning Management System within specified timeframes;
12. Attend mandatory face-to-face training sessions and workshops;
13. Lead meaningful community engagement and awareness activities and capacity-building projects;
14. Communicate effectively in conversations, written work, and presentations;
15. Utilize excellent organizational, time management, and self-direction skills;
16. Work within the NDIS ILC Outcomes Framework and NDIS ECEI principles;
17. Meet KPIs specified by the NDIA Statement of Requirements;
18. Complete and maintain spreadsheets and registers for KPI tracking;
19. Assist with telephone and face-to-face inquiries.
