This role is part of strengthening our internal finance function to support that growth
About the Role:
We are looking for an Accounts Officer to support our finance function, working closely with the Finance Manager and wider leadership team.
This is a hands-on role focused on the day to day running of accounts payable and receivable. You will play a key part in ensuring invoices are accurate and issued on time, payments are tracked and followed up, and suppliers are paid correctly.
This role is part of strengthening our internal finance function to support that growth.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
* Generate and review customer invoices (Autotask to Xero)
* Ensure accuracy of billing prior to issuing invoices
* Send invoices and manage billing communications
* Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up overdue payments
* Respond to customer billing queries
Accounts Payable
* Process supplier invoices and ensure correct coding and approvals
* Assist with payment runs
* Maintain accurate records of outstanding payables
* Liaise with suppliers regarding queries or discrepancies
Process Improvement
* Support the improvement of finance processes and workflows
* Assist in building more structured and consistent ways of working
* Contribute to documentation of key finance activities
About You
You are organised; detail focused and take pride in getting things done properly. You are comfortable managing both accounts payable and receivable and are confident following things through to completion.
You will bring:
* 1 - 3 years' experience in an accounts or finance role
* Relevant education in accounting, finance, or business, supported by hands on experience in a similar role
* Experience with Xero
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Clear and professional communication skills
* A friendly, proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks
