About the role
We are seeking detail-oriented and compassionate APS4 level Planner to join a major Federal Government program. This role is focused on supporting participants to manage their plans effectively and ensure funding decisions are made in line with policy and legislation. You will work closely with participants and their representatives, providing operational and administrative support that directly impacts people's lives.
Key responsibilities
* Analyse participant records using relevant policy, guidelines, and legislation to make funding decisions
* Work with participants and their representatives via phone to understand current circumstances and spending patterns
* Maintain high-quality records in line with process guidelines and standard operating procedures
* Research and review decisions, managing moderately complex cases with guidance from senior staff
* Complete administrative and data entry tasks accurately and within set timeframes
* Contribute to performance targets, including planning milestones and service standards
About you
You will bring:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage sensitive or difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism
* Solid IT skills, including data entry and analysis
* Strong time management and workload prioritisation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Capacity to manage multiple participant records simultaneously
* Flexibility to work from the office during the training period
Desirable experience
* Background in the disability sector or related field
* Previous experience in customer service, case management, or a tribunal environment
Eligibility
* You must be an Australian Citizen
* You must be able to obtain and maintain a National Criminal History Check and other background checks as required.
