The Team:
Northside is a 20 bed Acute Adult Mental Health Unit with staff dedicated to providing compassionate, person‐centred care and recovery focussed care for our consumers.

The Role:
To provide shift‐by‐shift leadership, clinical coordination and support to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), to ensure safe, high‐quality, person centred, recovery orientated and trauma informed care.
To operate effectively within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
Assumes the responsibilities of the NUM in their absence, providing continuity of leadership.
You will need:
* Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, shift worker position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:
$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
