Are you a current Fitter & Turner Apprentice or looking to commence a Fitter & Turning Apprenticeship & want to further develop your skills? Our long-term host business is seeking a new apprentice who is passionate about working and learning the Engineering Trade.
The apprenticeship will involve:
- Set up of machinery to enable the manufacturing of engineering products
- Repair and replacing components parts and other items
- Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues
- Installing plant and machinery
- Designing modifications to existing components
- Overhauling and modifying components
- Maintenance of plant and equipment
- Use various tools for tasks
- Documentation of work
- Collaboration with maintenance and operations teams for smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Must have strong knowledge of the trade
- Understand the importance of workplace health and safety
- Have good communication skill
- Enjoy practical work
- Have good hand-eye coordination
- Construction White Card, or willing to obtain
- Driver's licence required

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
