About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Garment Technician to join our Global Head Office team, based in greater Melbourne. This role will be responsible for ensuring garments are fit for purpose, are of the highest quality and can be produced on time and within budget. The role will work closely at each stage with our design team and manufacturers.
Working as part of our global product team, responsibilities will include:
* Develop and maintain accurate tech packs, graded specs, and measurement charts while working closely with Product Developers
* Lead fit sessions, review construction and finish, and provide detailed technical feedback
* Liaise with offshore suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues
* Oversee fabric and garment/wear testing, ensuring compliance with brand standards and cataloguing feedback.
* Manage the product lifecycle from start to end and maintain sample tracking to meet critical path timelines
* Support continuous improvement and consistency across all product categories.
* Ownership of organizing fabric and sample library
* Drive quality assurance processes to enhance garment aesthetics and technical performance, ensuring products exceed customer expectations
What do you need to be successful in this role?
* 3 to 5+ years' experience as a garment technician/ quality assurance (Equestrian knowledge would be advantageous)
* Strong knowledge of construction, grading, fit, and finishing standards
* Excellent communicator with offshore factory experience
* Able to work closely with a collaborative team
* Highly organized, detail-focused, and solution-oriented
* Proficient in Excel and adaptable to new systems
* Experience with technical apparel and a commitment to high-quality standards
