Duration: 9 months (with possible extension).

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Test Specialist to join a dedicated Test Services Team. Reporting to the Manager, Test Services, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality security testing across a large-scale Cyber Security Program. You will work closely with project managers, cyber teams, and vendors to ensure cyber controls are effectively implemented, validated, and aligned with governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver cybersecurity testing across remediation, assurance, detection, and platform initiatives
* Develop and execute security test plans and validation activities
* Validate vulnerability remediation, configuration hardening, IAM, endpoint, email, and platform security controls
* Support penetration testing coordination, compliance testing, and control effectiveness validation
* Validate SIEM use cases, SOC alerting, and detection controls
* Produce clear, evidence-based test artefacts, findings, and assurance documentation
* Manage defects end-to-end using JIRA and Zephyr
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, controls, and risk management
* Hands‐on experience in security testing, vulnerability validation, and assurance
* Knowledge across IAM, endpoint, network, cloud, application security, SIEM, and SOC
* Experience working in large enterprise IT environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
* Minimum 3+ years' hands‐on testing experience in Australia
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
* Experience in security assurance or technology testing in complex environments
* Relevant certifications (desirable)
