The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Fitter to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Carry out work requests for corrective and preventative maintenance as per work instructions
- Participate in the process of providing quotations for work
- Participate in the process of ordering and maintaining stock levels
- Participate in personal training and development and the training of apprentices by providing technical guidance and supervision
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- A recognised Australian Trade Qualification or equivalent
- To participate in an on-call roster as deemed necessary and may be required to work outside of approved working hours throughout the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $77 981 - $81 086 per annum

Maintenance Services sits within the service line of Asset Management Services within the People and Operations division and comprises of a maintenance manager, maintenance coordinators, administrative staff, trade coordinators and approximately twenty trade staff including apprentices. Included in the trades are electricians, plumbers, fitters, painters, carpenters, refrigeration technicians and gardeners. Based at Robina.
