First Nations Business Traineeship

Ready to start your career in Office Administration?

A fantastic opportunity is available for a motivated and organised First Nations trainee to join a Victorian State Government department while completing a Certificate III in Business. This traineeship allows you to gain hands‑on experience, learn from the ground up, and earn a full‑time wage as you study.

About the Role

As a full‑time trainee (Monday to Friday), you will be employed by NECA Education & Careers and hosted by a Victorian State Government department, working from the Frankston office. You'll develop essential administrative skills while contributing to the daily operations of a busy government team.

Your responsibilities may include:

* Providing administrative support such as data entry, customer enquiries, reception tasks, and general office duties
* Assisting with project and logistical coordination, including meeting scheduling, preparing agendas and papers, and organising venues, catering, and travel bookings.
* Managing fleet administration and room bookings.
* Assisting with reporting tasks and maintaining accurate records.
* Communicating professionally with managers, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support smooth day‑to‑day operations.

About You

You are enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to learn. Ideally, you bring:

* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Good organisational and time‑management skills
* A positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
* The ability to complete a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
