About the role
Exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager (open to Team Lead) to join a dynamic and collaborative team based in Macquarie Park, with free parking on‐site and the flexibility of 2 days working from home. You will oversee a team of two well‐established payroll officers who require minimal guidance while managing payroll for up to 1,000 employees across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles. In this role you will handle payroll queries, support day‐to‐day operations, and ensure the smooth delivery of payroll services across the organisation. The role may extend beyond six months, although there is no guarantee.
Responsibilities
* End‐to‐End Payroll: Lead and manage the team's payroll for 1,000 employees, including new starters, superannuation, salary adjustments, allowances, deductions, and terminations. Ensure data integrity and compliance with policies, EBAs, legislation, payroll checklists, processes, and procedures.
* Leave Reconciliation: Review all leave reconciliations – Annual Leave, Long Service Leave, and Sick Leave.
* Payroll Compliance: Follow documented payroll checking procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all payroll tasks.
* Termination Payments: Lead and assist with the calculation and processing of termination payments.
* PAYG, Super and Third‐Party Payments: Administer and process PAYG, superannuation, and other third‐party payments.
* Team Management: Oversee a team of two payroll officers who are self‐sufficient.
Qualifications
* Previous payroll experience.
* Experience with ADP Payforce is ideal but not required.
* Approachable and friendly to team members.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
