Procurement Specialist
About the Role:
* We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Bohle, Townsville.
* This role will involve coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely provision of goods and services for projects and site maintenance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchasing of materials for production/projects as per established schedules or purchasing requisitions.
* Sources and coordinates with suitable suppliers to align with business objectives regarding quality, availability, delivery, cost, warranties, and suitability.
* Manage minimum/maximum consumables in SAP and undertake two annual stocktakes.
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Commercial Management, or Business is highly desirable.
* Experience in a similar Purchasing role.
* Proficient in procurement and inventory control methods and practices.
* Experience in contract negotiation and administration.
* Strong communication skills, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, email, and MRP-type software.
* Experience in rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics, or any other safety-critical sectors.
