About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and creative individual with strong technical skills to join our Pastry team.
As a Pastries Production Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing a diverse range of pastries, ensuring each item meets high standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with our Head Pastry Chef to craft memorable culinary experiences for our guests.
* Prepare and bake a wide range of desserts and pastries for various hotel outlets.
* Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to develop and update dessert menus.
* Ensure all pastries and desserts meet quality standards for taste, texture, and presentation.
* Work closely with other departments and kitchens to coordinate service and ensure timely delivery of desserts.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels of pastry ingredients.
* Train and oversee junior pastry staff, providing guidance on techniques and workflow.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the pastry offering.
2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen.
3. Assist with training and development programs for junior staff members.
A successful candidate will have:
* Recent experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a hotel environment.
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
* Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Valid work rights in Australia.
