Smelting & Refining Operations
In this role, you will contribute to the safe production of high-quality copper anode in our Anode Casting Area. Reporting to the Supervisor of Refinery Production, you will be responsible for operating a comprehensive range of processing equipment to ensure efficient and effective operations.
The following areas will be highly regarded:
* Current forklift qualification (essential)
* Previous experience in molten metal processes.
* Experience in control room operation and exposure to DCS or SCADA control systems
* Aptitude for mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting and solution seeking skills
* Ability to tolerate physically demanding work, as well as some shift work
* High level of computer literacy.
You will also possess a proactive approach to safety, sound communication and interpersonal skills, as well as high attention to detail. You will have a self-starting attitude and be able to accept individual responsibility within a small work team.
This position requires working a roster of 12hr shifts with 3 days on, 4 days off. Occasionally, you may be required to be flexible in terms of work times and rosters.
