Construction Project Manager
The role of a Construction Project Manager is to oversee the entire lifecycle of a construction project, from groundworks to finishes. This includes coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries and program milestones.
Ensuring high safety standards and enforcing Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) compliance on site is also a key responsibility.
The successful candidate will drive program and productivity while maintaining build quality.
Key skills and qualifications include proven experience delivering high-end residential or apartment projects as a Site Manager, strong understanding of build sequencing, trades coordination and program control, excellent attention to detail, especially around finishes and presentation, and ability to lead teams with confidence, clarity and a solutions-first mindset.
A relevant trade background or tertiary qualifications in construction are also highly desirable.
* Manage day-to-day site operations across all phases of construction:
o Coordinate site activities and resources effectively.
o Ensure efficient use of materials and equipment.
o Monitor progress against program milestones.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries and program milestones:
o Establish relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
o Develop and maintain effective communication plans.
o Coordinate delivery schedules and timelines.
* Maintain high safety standards and enforce HSEQ compliance on site:
o Implement and manage safety policies and procedures.
o Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
o Provide training and support to site staff.
* Drive program and productivity while maintaining build quality:
o Identify and implement process improvements.
o Monitor and report on performance metrics.
o Develop and implement strategies to enhance build quality.
* Attend site meetings, coordinate with consultants, and liaise with internal teams:
o Represent the project team at site meetings.
o Coordinate input from consultants and stakeholders.
o Communicate project updates and information to internal teams.
