About the role
A leading worldwide organisation is seeking a Customs Broker to join their Sydney-based team. In this full-time role, you will be receiving training for the customs clearance process for their diverse range of clients, ensuring efficient and compliant import and export of goods.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing and lodging customs declarations, including import, export and warehousing declarations
2. Liaising with customs authorities, freight forwarders and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth clearance of goods
3. Providing expert advice to clients on customs regulations, tariffs and documentation requirements
4. Monitoring changes in customs and trade regulations and updating procedures accordingly
5. Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on customs activities
What we're looking for
1. Licensed Customs Broker
2. Detailed knowledge of Australian customs legislation, procedures and clearance requirements
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex customs issues
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
5. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
6. Relevant tertiary qualifications in international trade, logistics or a related field
