ICT Project Manager | Government Digital Delivery & Technology
Location: ACT (ACT Based Only)Security Clearance: NV1 (Mandatory)Contract Length: 12 months + 2 × 12-month extensions (Department discretion)
About The Position
This ICT Project Manager role supports the delivery of technology initiatives within a Parliamentary operating environment. Projects range across digital transformation, cyber security uplift, systems integration, and enterprise technology refresh.
The environment requires structured governance, careful stakeholder navigation, and disciplined compliance alignment. Success in this role is measured not only by delivery timelines, but by adherence to government frameworks, procurement controls, and risk management standards.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT projects aligned to government frameworks and policy settingsCoordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, analysts, vendors, and business stakeholdersMaintain schedules, budgets, risk registers, and executive reporting artefactsEnsure change management, procurement, and compliance obligations are met throughout the lifecycle
What We Are Looking For
7+ years’ experience managing ICT projects within Australian Government environmentsStrong working knowledge of Agile and/or PRINCE2 delivery methodologiesDemonstrated capability navigating procurement, reporting, and governance processesConfident stakeholder engagement across technical, executive, and operational audiences

This role suits project managers already comfortable operating within formal governance and Parliamentary reporting structuresExperience managing projects with cross-agency visibility or compliance scrutiny is highly regardedAbility to balance delivery pace with procedural discipline is essential
