About the Role
* Our organization is seeking an experienced payroll specialist to deliver operational payroll services.
As a key member of our People and Performance team, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll, generating payroll-related reports, assisting employees and managers with general payroll enquiries, performing data input and filing, supporting the payroll manager with a payroll review, and analyzing current payroll systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Processing payrolls from start to finish
2. Creating detailed reports for payroll operations
3. Providing support to employees and management on payroll-related matters
4. Entering and maintaining accurate payroll data
5. Collaborating with the payroll manager to ensure seamless payroll operations
6. Conducting thorough reviews of payroll systems and processes
We are looking for someone with:
* Proven experience in payroll processing using various software
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for detailed reporting and analysis
* Able to identify process gaps and implement practical solutions
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and contract interpretation
