Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our dental practice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team.
Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Dental Assistant and possess a Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting. You will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with patient management, prepare and sterilise dental instruments, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area. You will also provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them on oral hygiene and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients and ensuring their comfort.
* Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
* Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
* Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them on oral hygiene and preventive care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Prior experience as a Dental Assistant
* A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting (beneficial)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
* Attention to detail
