Flinders Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Venue Manager to lead our well-established team. Established in 1889, the hotel has been part of the local community for over 130 years.
Located just metres from the Western Port coastline, at the foot of the picturesque Flinders village, the hotel is surrounded by beaches and coastal walks, offering a truly special working environment.
As Venue Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role in bringing this iconic venue to life each day, overseeing smooth operations, leading and inspiring a passionate team, and building strong relationships with guests and local suppliers.

Essential requirements:
* 3+ years in a Venue Manager role
* Understanding and ability of venue reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
* Presence on the floor during peak service periods, including late nights and weekends
* P&L understanding and ability to deep dive into financials to analyze where there is opportunity to grow your business
* Ability to generate revenue-building ideas throughout all aspects of the business
* Write and control an effective roster for both front-of-house and back-of-house
* Ability to stocktake and investigate stock loss
* Order and maintain par levels within the beverage department, food department and venue consumables
* Train, performance manage, and motivate staff
* Provide revenue-generating ideas and work with the Marketing department to drive the business
* Be able to implement and execute promotions throughout the business successfully
