Senior Registrar - Emergency Department
Location: Ballarat, Victoria
Contract: Full‐Time/Part‐Time, commencing from May 2026
What the role involves
Manage a diverse and complex caseload in a high‐volume emergency department with up to 60,000 patients annually, including a 25% paediatric presentation rate and 28% admission rate. Provide patient‐centred care, lead multidisciplinary teams, and participate in protected teaching, fellowship exam preparation, morbidity and mortality meetings, and additional ICU/anaesthesia rotations as part of a structured 24‐month FACEM programme.

Essential Requirements
* Full General Registration with AHPRA, or eligibility via the Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) or Competent Authority Pathway.
* A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine at a Registrar or Senior HMO level.
* Exceptional communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Strong commitment to patient‐centred care and a positive team environment.
Desirable Attributes
* Current enrolment with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) for specialist or associate training.
