About the role
This position is responsible for leading a small team of passionate talent acquisition professionals. This is a hands-on role which will help shape the City's future by designing, developing, delivering and continuously improving resourcing and workforce requirements. In addition to this, you will be a key champion and contributor in supporting and delivering early career pathways for emerging talent.
On a daily basis you will:
* Contribute to the organisation’s capability to deliver excellence to the community through advice, training, coaching and education of managers in best practice talent acquisition.
* Manage the Talent Acquisition function and act as an internal expert in end-to-end recruitment, both strategic and operational. Ensure the continuous improvement of the talent acquisition function by developing and implementing efficient processes, provide operational advice, consulting and service delivery to all business units within the organisation.
Lead, coach and support the Talent Acquisition team to promote a culture of continuous improvement and outstanding customer service.
About You
The successful candidate should have previous experience in leading a Talent Acquisition function.
You will also bring:
* Degree qualifications in HR, business or related field, or extensive relevant experience (5+ years) in local government or in a large and complex organisation.
* A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in successfully delivering a range of resourcing outcomes in a medium to large diverse organisation.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.

We are offering a full-time permanent opportunity, with an attractive remuneration from $129,000 plus 12% superannuation.
