Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Superintendent to lead site safety performance at our large scale open cut coal operation.
Reporting to the HST Manager, this role provides strategic and operational safety leadership, ensuring compliance with Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act (CMSHA) and fostering a strong, visible safety culture across mining, CHPP, maintenance, and contractor workforces.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strong, visible safety leadership across all departments
2. Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site Safety Management System (SMS)
3. Significant experience in a Safety Superintendent / Safetyintegration Manager role within an open cut coal mining operation
4. Strong working knowledge of:
5. QLD Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations

* Degree or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
* S1, S2, S3 & G2 (or ability to obtain)
* ICAM Lead Investigator (desirable)
* Current Queensland Coal Board Medical & Standard 11
* Industry Risk Management Qualifications
