Estimator Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Auckland/Christchurch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs throughout the project life cycle, preparing subcontract and materials inquiries, and providing accurate commercial advice to stakeholders.
* Cost planning and management experience is essential for this role, as well as proficiency in estimation software such as CostX, Benchmark, Excel, and Candy CCS.
* A background in civil engineering or a related field, with at least 7+ years of experience in technically challenging projects, is required.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in quantification, standard measurement methods, and standard contract forms, as well as excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for tenders and projects.
* Manage costs throughout the project life cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Provide commercial advice to Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Management.
* Liaise with construction teams to ensure output and resource data are collected and used effectively.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* At least 7+ years of experience in technically challenging projects.
* Proficiency in estimation software such as CostX, Benchmark, Excel, and Candy CCS.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
