Behaviour Support Practitioner - Part-Time or Full-Time

The Shine Centre currently has a position available for a full-time or part-time Behaviour Support Practitioner in our Ballarat or Bacchus Marsh Clinic.

About You

You are a fun, personable, outgoing practitioner who clearly loves working with children.

You have a desire to excel in private practice, you are always looking to develop your clinical knowledge and skills and are eager to take on new and exciting challenges.

You have great people skills, fantastic communication, are able to engage children and enjoy working as part of a team.

You are excited to help clients work towards their therapy goals.

You are committed to providing the best possible Behaviour Support services to clients.

You have a particular interest in Autism and disability.

You feel confident administering a variety of assessments or are willing to learn new assessments.

Qualifications & experience

Must have experience as behaviour support practitioner or

Hold other allied health credentials (Masters or Post Grad in Behaviour, Psychology (Bachelors/Masters/Provisional), OT, Speech, etc)

CBA or BCBA candidates (or working towards certification) are ideal.

Must have experience working with children and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability and/or experience working in disability.

Must hold an NDIS Worker Screener # and Victorian WWCC

Tasks & responsibilities

Develop interim and comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS Guidelines.

Provide trainings to parents/carers, support workers, educators regarding the implementation of the behaviour support plan.

Provide 1:1 sessions with participants to help them reach their behaviour support goals.

Feel confident administering functional behaviour assessments.

Complete administration tasks associated with client sessions (e.g., complete session notes and document communication)

Attend supervision sessions and team meetings.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in our Bacchus Marsh Clinic.

Have fun and enjoy making a difference in the lives of children

Paid 1:1 supervision (including CBA supervision).

Paid study days and a PD budget.

Full administration support.

Onsite clinic room, onsite parking and an amazing work family

The role can be hybrid so non-face-to-face work can be completed from home.

About Us

The Shine Centre is a paediatric allied health company. We offer the following services:

Behaviour Support

Occupational Therapy,

Allied Health Assistants, and

Support Coordination.

The Shine Centre is passionate about providing services to people in regional Victoria. We have clinics in Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat. We have multiple advanced practitioners and have CBA and BCBA supervision.

The Shine Centre values work life balance. We work with you to create your desired schedule based on the number of hours you want to work.

We also value professional growth. As a result, we have a supervision schedule each week which includes 1:1 supervision, group supervision, case conferences and opportunities to connect with professionals from different disciplines. A full-time employee also receives an annual PD budget and a week of paid study leave.

Our providers have full administration support from our reception team. We also have set administration time in your diary, so you have time to perform all aspects of your role and to connect with the other team members.
