Overview
Fantastic opportunity to join a large and successful Machinery & workshop Equipment supplier in the Parramatta area. This well-established company has a strong, stable history in supplying to tradespeople, handyman customers and major industrial engineering businesses around Australia.
Position summary: A Buyer will be involved in procurement, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and handling all suppliers. You will either purchase parts for machine tools or lifting and handling equipment, depending on your skills. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee the procurement of machinery and tools from local and international suppliers, maintain relations with suppliers, manage stock levels, and handle all inquiries relating to purchasing.

Responsibilities
Procurement, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and handling all suppliers
Purchase parts for machine tools or lifting and handling equipment (depends on skills)
Oversee procurement of machinery and tools from local and international suppliers
Maintain relations with suppliers and manage stock levels
Handle all inquiries relating to purchasing
Qualifications
Purchasing experience is a must
Machine parts and/or lifting equipment experience
Supply Chain Management experience
Experience with Pronto; additional systems such as Netsuite or SAP is a plus
Administration skills and excellent computer skills
High attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication
