We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will create a wide range of authentic, flavourful Indian dishes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (minimum requirement)
* At least 3 years of proven experience as a Chef
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
* In-depth understanding of food preparation, produce, and quality standards
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
* Cook meals to order with accurate timing to maintain freshness and optimal serving temperature
* Uphold high standards of flavour, texture, and visual presentation
* Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients while maintaining authenticity
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Manage kitchen inventory, maintaining optimal stock levels and minimising waste
* Lead, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
* Keep accurate records of stock levels, equipment maintenance, and kitchen operations
* Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and procedures
* Contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen processes, systems, and service standards
