United Abilities is a registered NDIS provider, dedicated to empowering adults and children living with a disability. Our clients are located all over Adelaide. We work closely with clients focusing on supporting and empowering them in their daily activities, with a focus on peer support through capacity building in social inclusion and community access, while encouraging an active, healthy and positive lifestyle. We offer individual Supports, Mentoring and group activities. We offer 1:1 support and do not have SIL accommodation.
United Abilities is at the beginnings of a brand new mentoring program, offering Mentoring services designed to support individuals in developing essential life skills and building independence. Support can include a mentor or support worker assisting participants with tasks such as attending appointments, shopping, managing bills, participating in social activities, and staying connected with others in the community. Our mentoring service focuses on fostering confidence, skill development, and meaningful connections.

Key Responsibilities
* Transport: Assist clients with transportation to appointments, group activities, and other social outings. Full Driver's Licence and comprehensive insurance is required.
* Community Support: Provide support to clients in a variety of community settings.
* Personal Support: Provide tailored assistance with daily life to help individuals live independently.
* Empowerment & Peer Support: Foster a positive environment prioritizing person‐centred support, capacity building, and empowering clients to reach their NDIS goals.
About You
* Previous experience in disability support is advantageous but not essential.
* A passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and a compassionate approach.
* Work in a manner that empowers and values people living with a disability.
* Understand the individual needs of our clients and use initiative.
* Have an understanding of the benefits of exercise and social inclusion for a healthier life.
* Availability for flexible shifts 9am‐9pm Monday‐Friday; include availability in cover letter or resume.
* Preferable availability to travel to southern or northern suburbs; list preference in resume or cover letter.
* Be flexible and honest with availability, working a variety of shifts.
* Adhere to United Abilities policies, procedures, Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards.

Mandatory Requirements
* A current DHS Working with Children's Check.
* A current NDIS Worker Screen.
* A current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* Valid passport or birth certificate.
* Hold a current unrestricted SA driver's licence and have access to a reliable car with full comprehensive insurance.
