Senior ETL Developer | Enterprise Data Warehouse Solutions | Federal Government
* Security Clearance: Baseline (Preferred)
We are on the hunt for a 'Senior ETL Developer' who can deliver end-to-end solutions across large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments. This role sits within a high-impact federal government branch focused on data and analytics platforms and enables strategic decision-making across our client's technology landscape, and cross-jurisdictional services.
You will be actively building, maintaining, and optimising complex ETL pipelines using tools like Informatica, Teradata, SAS, Oracle, and Control-M, while working in Agile (SAFe) teams to deliver high-value outcomes. This role demands a combination of deep technical expertise, strong architectural thinking, and leadership in guiding junior developers and engaging stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the position:
* Design, develop, and maintain complex ETL pipelines and data integration solutions on the EDW platform
* Ingest, transform, cleanse, and manage large datasets across diverse source systems
* Lead stakeholder workshops and communicate solution designs via data models and architecture diagrams
* Provide hands-on support for batch job migration, optimisation, and scheduling using Control-M
* Collaborate closely with business teams and data engineers to align iterative Agile delivery with business goals
* Develop and document enterprise-grade architectural artefacts, technical specifications, and support processes
* Drive improvements in development standards, data strategies, and design principles across teams
* Ensure security, auditability, and data integrity within solution design and implementation
* Coach and mentor junior developers on standards, tooling, and performance best practices
What we are looking for:
* 5+ years' experience in Enterprise Data Warehousing and ETL delivery across federal or enterprise environments
* Strong technical skills in Informatica, Teradata, Control-M, SAS, and Oracle (PL/SQL a bonus)
* Solid grounding in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks such as SAFe
* Strong background in designing data pipelines, data flow architectures, and warehouse solutions
* Proficiency in interpreting technical specs and translating business requirements into scalable data solutions
* Experience leading technical discussions with both business executives and technical teams
* Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience
* Experience across Azure, SQL Server, Cognos, or Qlik
* Proven track record of driving business change through data-driven solutions
* Familiarity with data profiling, data mapping, and remediation strategies
* Strong hands-on background in data integration and migration projects across government programs
Why Join Our Client?
You will be embedded in a leading transformative national data initiative. A mission-driven, agile team environment that values data integrity, innovation, and collaboration. Work alongside high-caliber professionals while shaping the future of cross-government analytics without being locked into a rigid office presence.
