Grounds Maintenance and Improvement Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing the school environment by developing and implementing improvements to gardens, grounds, playing fields, and external surfaces.
Maintenance of lawns, gardens, and playing surfaces is essential, including tasks such as top dressing, seeding, turfing, coring, planting, trimming, mulching, and fertilising. Preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals involves laying out and line marking playing fields.
Safe distribution and application of organic and chemical pesticides, sprays, and fertilisers must be managed correctly, including storage and recording. A wide range of specialised machinery and equipment will be operated and maintained for lawns, turf, and playing fields. Routine maintenance of machinery and equipment is also necessary.
