About the Position
Reporting to the Machinery Engineering Manager, the primary focus of this role will be on creating detailed mechanical designs and drawings for machinery and systems for our organisation. Your responsibilities will include the development of machinery components and systems, performing engineering calculations, and ensuring designs comply with industry standards and customer requirements. Working closely with the manufacturing team, you will provide support to ensure designs are practical and can be efficiently implemented.
This position is based at our Stapylton facility, which is located at the Northern end of the beautiful Gold Coast.
To be considered for this position the successful candidate will possess:
* Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Design Engineer
* Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar tools
* Experience in the Engineering or building field
Additional selection criteria
* Ability to competently use CAD in Metric and Imperial
* Proficiency in using productivity software and tools, such as Microsoft Office suite, and database systems
* Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing mechanical components
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and implement innovative solutions to achieve project objectives
* Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams
* Commitment to learning and adapting to new technologies and practices
* Current Drivers License
