About the role
Seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our dynamic team at Unity Living. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and assistance to older adults and individuals with disabilities in the Ballarat area. What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and domestic cleaning.
* Assisting clients with access to the community with transportation and economic participation activities
* Providing companionship and engaging clients in recreational activities to promote their wellbeing
* Advocating for client needs and collaborating with the care team to ensure comprehensive support
* Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
* Adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar caregiving role
* Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients
* Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or a willingness to obtain)
* A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
* NDIS worker screening clearance, or willingness to obtain, required
