The Hammond Care Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in South West Sydney.
From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.
As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in your community.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring individual to volunteer socially with our elderly client in Busby. He loves anything related to soccer and would enjoy a friendly Spanish-speaking visitor to have a chat over a cuppa.
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
Hammond Care is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements
• 18 years or older
• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by Hammond Care
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9 am and 4 pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
