Due to our continued growth and project pipeline, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior/Associate Planner with 5-12 years of experience to join SLR's national Planning team in Townsville. This is a full-time position where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our team of 60+ Planners across the country on top of having local support from an industry leader.
Our Townsville office is a tightknit group of multidisciplinary experts in their field, who also happen to be down to earth, supportive and fun to be around. We work in a flexible office environment and pride ourselves on our relaxed and positive culture, regular social events and positive client feedback.
Responsibilities
* Planning analysis and research and confident in delivering exceptional results
* Managing projects without direct supervision
* Liaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agencies
* Compiling of DA and EA lodgement packages
* Experience working across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment
* Development of approval implementation advisory, including compliance with permits
* Business development and high-level client relationship management
Experience
Not only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, but you will also have:
* A degree in town planning or equivalent
* Ideally you will have 5-12 years working experience within a consulting business
* Excellent report writing skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to function effectively within a high performing team
