This all happens from our 16 centres located from Albany in the South to Kununurra in the North-West. Geraldton PCYC is home to our safeSPACE™ program. safeSPACE™ is PCYC’s ealy intervention program, aimed at supporting young people and preventing them from becoming involved with the youth justice system whilst improving outcomes for those who do. safeSPACE™ delivers an integrated service offering, both universal and targeted programs to best support young people. About the role: Reporting to the Youth Program Coordinator, the Senior Youth Worker will be delivering and implementing the safeSPACE™ program and providing the young people attending the program with support, guidance, and mentorship. Responsibilities include: Creating a safe and welcoming environment for all young people attending Geraldton PCYC. Assisting with the program evaluation, including preparing and submitting reporting. Working collaboratively as part of a team across WA to ensure PCYC delivers a positive, supportive and professional service. About you: Proven leadership & experience – background in youth work, community services, social work, psychology or a related field (Minimum Cert IV is preferred) Program development skills – experience co-designing and delivering, youth programs. Cultural awareness & engagement – strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Passionate & Resilient – ability to re-engage young people using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. Compliance ready – possess or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance (within a 6-month period) and a WA Working with Children Check.
