Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Tax Professional to join our team. This role involves managing a portfolio of business advisory and SMSF clients, mentoring and supervising staff, preparation of financial statements and tax returns.

About the Role
* Main Responsibilities:
* Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service compliance and timely delivery to build excellent relationships.
* Prepare tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
* Provide a high level of tax compliance for all entities and clients.
* Assist with business advisory engagements, including budgeting, forecasting, and structuring.
* Prepare strategic advice for client meetings.
* Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, and other compliance documents as required.
* Assist with internal processes and improving efficiencies within the firm.
* Assist with budgeting, billing, and identifying value-add opportunities within your client base.
* Liaise with tax authorities and respond to queries as needed to ensure compliance.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior and administrative staff.
Requirements
* 5+ years in public practice accounting, taxation, financial, and business management experience.
* Relevant Business Accounting Commerce or Economics degree.
* Professional qualifications (CA/CPA) or actively working towards a qualification.
* Current and up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
* Strong client servicing and people skills with the ability to engage with clients and build on existing relationships.
* Technology proficiency - Microsoft Office Xero and relevant software.
