The Role:
This role will suit an experienced Senior Development Manager with a strong background in residential land and/or housing projects, or an established Development Manager ready to step into a more senior leadership position.
Reporting to the General Manager or Project Director, you will take ownership of the end‐to‐end delivery of key masterplanned communities across NSW. These projects are located within high‐growth corridors and will ultimately deliver large‐scale residential outcomes, including a mix of land subdivision, housing product, open space, and supporting community infrastructure.
One project is positioned within Sydney's South West and forms part of a significant urban release area, delivering a substantial volume of residential lots with a focus on design quality, placemaking, and integrated community outcomes. The second project, located in a key regional growth area on the South Coast, is a multi‐stage masterplanned community incorporating residential land, lifestyle‐focused living, and strong connections to surrounding amenity and natural features.
You will be responsible for leading the development lifecycle from planning and approvals through to delivery and sales, you will manage complex stakeholder environments, navigate planning pathways, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
A key component of the role will be leadership i.e. building, mentoring, and developing a high‐performing team, fostering a collaborative "one team" culture, and contributing to the broader success of the development business.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Property, Engineering, Planning, Construction, or a related discipline;
* 8–10+ years' experience across the full lifecycle of residential development projects;
* Proven experience managing larger, multiple, or complex land and/or housing projects;
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, including feasibility management and budget control;
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high‐performing teams;
* Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills;
* Strong understanding of planning pathways, approvals processes, and regulatory frameworks within NSW;
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, and government authorities;
* High level of autonomy, accountability, and problem‐solving capability.
