Job Overview
This is a full-time, fixed-term position that plays a key leadership role within the Transport Services Group.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering major state-wide road safety initiatives, including the Speed Management Program and School Crossing Risk Assessment Framework under Victoria's Road Safety Action Plan.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership and strategic insight, applying systems thinking to understand complex organisational environments and identify high-impact solutions.
They will use critical thinking to resolve issues in context, embed improvements into processes, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Governance planning and risk management
* Reporting and securing approvals for large-scale programs
* Leading a geographically dispersed team
* Providing strategic and operational advice to senior executives
* Liaising across internal branches, delivery units, Road Safety Victoria, and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC)
Requirements
* Experience in large-scale program and project delivery implementation
* A relevant tertiary qualification (desired)
* Experience in program management and reporting, including use of monitoring tools such as PowerBI (desired)
* Experience in coordinating resources across multiple teams to achieve program outcomes (desired)
* Experience working in local and/or State government (desired)
* Australian Drivers License
