The role
Moil Medical Centre is looking for dynamic, enthusiastic General Practitioners with an interest in Skin Cancer management, holistic general practice, and an eagerness to learn about Coordinated Veterans Care for ADF Veterans. Moil Medical Centre, a steadfast institution with over 30 years of dedicated service to the Darwin community, continues to flourish. Their unwavering commitment lies in providing top‑notch acute and chronic healthcare, fortified by robust recall mechanisms and comprehensive patient follow‑up. Consultant Dermatologist, Dr. Dev Tilakaratne (MBBS, FACD), provides support and mentoring to Moil Medical Centre doctors to provide skin cancer surveillance and skin cancer procedures, assisted by an experienced, dedicated Nurse Melanographer. The clinic also has a longstanding history of providing exemplary care for Veterans, with established processes in providing Coordinated Veterans Care (CVC) for Veterans. A range of supplementary services including Podiatry, Psychology, Dietetics and on‑site pathology assist in providing holistic care for patients. For decades, Moil Medical Centre has been a training site for Australian Defence Force GP Registrars, who contribute heavily to the workplace culture. What’s the role?
To provide high quality, evidence‑based, skin cancer surveillance and management with integrity, under the mentorship and support of a consultant Dermatologist and Nurse Melanographer, as well as holistic primary health care services to the people of Darwin and the surrounding areas. Benefits
Support and mentorship for skin cancer activities by Dermatologist Dr. Dev Tilakaratne and an experienced Nurse Melanographer. Eligibility for relocation and CPD grant support. Earn 70% of billings for FRACGP or FACCRM. Family friendly mixed billing practice. Flexible working options with full or part time opportunities. Relocation assistance up to $3,500 and CPD grant support up to $1,000 per year. Qualifications
Current specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Fellow of RACGP or ACCRM. Two to five years previous experience in general practice. A passion for processes and system optimisation and a desire to work closely with non‑medical staff and contribute to workplace culture. Willingness to contribute to GP registrar supervision.
