Junior TestAnalyst
Location: South Geelong, VICWork Type: Full-time | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Are you passionate about software quality and looking to start a career in testing? We're seeking a Junior TestAnalyst to join our team and help ensure the delivery of high-quality web applications.
About the Role
As a Junior TestAnalyst, you will play a key role validating our in-house web applications through functional testing, UAT, and automation testing. You'll collaborate closely with our Software Development Manager, Product Team, and Developers in an Agile environment to ensure our products meet the highest standards. You'll be supported by an experienced Test Lead, who will provide guidance, mentoring, and help you learn best practices in testing and automation.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform functional testing, UAT, and automation testing on in-house web applications.
* Analyze business requirements and specifications to design effective test plans.
* Create and maintain manual and automated test cases.
* Design test scripts using automation platforms.
* Identify and report bugs using defect tracking tools such as Jira.
* Communicate effectively with the development team regarding issues, resolutions, and common trends.
* Prepare test documentation and test plans as required.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and defect triage.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience, training, or education in testing or quality assurance.
* Familiarity with different testing methods, approaches, and tools.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working in Agile environments.
* Clear communication skills with people of varying technical ability.
* Experience with scripting (any language or platform) is advantageous.
