The Opportunity
The Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Council equipment such as loaders, dozers, graders, road rollers, backhoes and trucks along with providing workshop services across the region. The major focus of the role is to continuously improve operations.
This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council.
Mechanical trade:
(1) Diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
(2) Dismantling, repairing, rebuilding, assembling and installing parts to vehicles, construction and industrial machinery in the field and in the Workshop.
(3) Requisitioning needed spare parts.
About Yourself
A person in this position will need to hold a relevant trade certificate in a mechanical trade. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have workshop management experience and:
* OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card;
* Trade qualification as Mechanic, and or similar qualification, heavy vehicle experience is desirable.
* Current 'C' class drivers' licence or higher;
* Computer knowledge;
* Heavy vehicle licence preferable; and
* Operator Tickets for machinery preferable.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading
