Flying Bark Productions are looking for a 2D Animator to work in our Sydney studio
The 2D Animator is responsible for bringing life to the characters of the Program/s, with an emphasis on enhancing the story and audience connection with the characters and narrative. Additionally working to, and maintaining, the creative and technical requirements for animation for the Program/s as required by the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor/s; and to the production schedule provided by the Production Company.
Key Responsibilities:
* All duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Production Company of a 2D Animator including:
* To produce frame-by-frame animation for the Program/s that fulfils the creative standards of the project as advised by the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor/s;
* Meet quota as briefed by the Production crew;
* Completion of creative revisions as requested by the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor/s in addition to the animation quota;
* Adhere to the work flow structure of the project with successful adherence and completion of technical tasks at each animation stage, including but not limited to correct labelling of layers, clean and clear structuring of nodes, and submission of timing charts.
* Work cohesively within a team environment and ensuring high levels of communication at all times; Adhere to the administrative tools used for tracking workflow, input and delivery/output of shots;
* Strong communication and ability to work to a verbal or visual brief, flagging in advance any issues that may impact on successful timely delivery of material or shots to Production and the Supervising crew;
* Ensure all work remains confidential per code of conduct and security forms;
* Ability to create economical and dynamic movement, keeping an eye on continuity and hookups while referencing a storyboard, with a drive to push the performance and energy in every scene.

Skillset:
* Excellent ability to create on-model and clean key frames and tight in-betweens that stay true to the show's style; Good knowledge of current 2D animation techniques;
* Ability to work in a team environment and follow guidance from creative and technical supervisors;
* Ability to maintain a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work to quota; Ability to take and successfully interpret a verbal or visual creative brief;
* Ability to consistently meet deadlines;
* Ability to be adaptable, flexible and responsive to changes;
* Good sense of narrative storytelling, comic timing and camera;
* Solid experience with character animation including lip sync and key posing in a 2D animation environment; Solid experience and understanding of Toon Boom Harmony in a production based environment;
* Solid knowledge of 2D animation workflows and storyboard interpretation;
* Excellent communication skills and willingness to share information in a team environment; Passion for animation and storytelling.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $91,000.00 – $93,600.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Alexandria NSW 2015
